Carrieton

This community swimming pool trompe l’oeil project was as much fun as it looks!

Situated right in the heart of the small and welcoming town of Carrieton, South Australia, this mural drew inspiration from the amazing and beautiful wildlife that inhabits the area as well as featuring a landscape of the unique and rocky Flinder’s Ranges.

The pool was mostly used by children learning to swim and so the aim was to make it as fun and playful as possible whilst also keeping a lot of the original exposed brickwork.

This project was only made possible by possible by the good people of Carrieton and all those who supported me during my stay for this mural.

It was truly wonderful to hear the town buzzing with engagement whilst painting this, adding the town’s second mural to date.
