A relative and neighbour of Curio bar, The Black Pearl bar wanted to carry over the Curio themes of skulls and flowers as it still followed their Caribbean rum inspired cocktails and pirate/rebel aesthetic. Since then they have still kept their roots yet brought in a tiki themed lounge and menu, this lead to hibiscus flowers populating many of the old spaces and bringing in fresher spring colours with them. It’s great to watch things evolve and help them on their way!
The artwork was painted onto a variety of substrates which drew knowledge of each necessary material and their individual application.
All artwork and signs were handpainted and whilst some was pre designed there were numerous elements that were added organically.
