SIGN PAINTING - MURALS - ILLUSTRATION

The Mixing House

The Mixing House approached Rise and Signs as they wanted a summertime makeover for their new cocktail bar with rooftop terrace. The brief was to stick closely to their chosen colour scheme, brand lettering, and to add lots of flowers all over the place.

The flowers were used to break up blank wall spaces, so rather than focus on a single feature wall the venue decided to spread the artwork around, this meant that every surface has a feeling of continuity within the bar.

This one required me to utilise a range of different skill sets and materials such as spray paint pictorials, brush painted flowers, hand painted lettering, and even a little faux neon effect to finish off the overall look.

All the flowers were hand painted so that each petal was individual, this added to the uniqueness of the artwork. The same approach was further emphasised by creating the compositions organically on site and so better reflected the originality of the venue.
